It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, Randolph “Randy” Lee Pohler, born November 19, 1950 in New Braunfels, Tx. He passed peacefully in his home February 27, 2023 surrounded by family at the age of 72. Dad lived a full life. He was a servant of his community throughout his career which included, serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War, a Police Officer in Del Rio,Tx a Border Patrol Officer (California), US Customs Agent (Texas), a private business owner and a City Councilman in Del Rio, Tx. He is survived by his three children, Donna Taubert (Chris) of San Antonio, Tx, Shawna Posey (Mike) of New Braunfels, Tx and Richard Pohler of New Braunfels, Tx. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, ranging in ages from 5 to 17.
Dad will be honored at a graveside service on Friday, March 10th, 2023 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, shelter #2 at 9:15 am in San Antonio, Texas.
